Giving, Inspiring, Reaching, Leading and Serving

Our Mission

G-I-R-L-S-Inc. is a nonprofit organization established to provide support to designated children in health care or transitional settings that may include hospitals, shelters, and group homes. Our support is extended to include women with children in these similar settings and will consist of supplying toiletries to the families, care packages, visits, arranging for entertainment, conducting back pack drives for back to school, assisting with birthday parties and holiday celebrations. Along with these needs, our goal will include providing peer support which will be achieved with supplementary assistance of young women ages 4-25 recruited as volunteers for the organization.  In return, we plan to simultaneously provide a platform for personal growth for these young volunteers.

One way will be through our Maryland G-I-R-L-S of Excellence Scholarship Pageant Program ("MGESP").  This opportunity will provide the platform for a scholarship based on academic achievement while encouraging these young volunteers to approach and reach goals with excellence.

In addition, G-I-R-L-S, Inc. appreciates the artistic passion of dance and established the "Caring On Purpose" Scholarship which will be awarded to competitive dancers based on merit.
